I just love you sooo much, it hurts! You are the one that made me a mom, something I wanted so badly and had to wait years for it to happen and it was YOU who made my wish come true!
I couldn’t wait to meet you and neither could Grandma, she was there waiting outside the room you were born in to meet my child. My child, a child whom I can’t ever picture my life without.
You have brought me so much joy, and I adore your strength, resilience, empathy, passion, leadership, kindness and how you stand up for what’s right and for what you believe in.
I know these last few years have been tough on you and you’ve experienced more in your short life than I would have ever liked you to. I know you though, I know that you are strong like your mother and I know you will get through these unusual, strange and sometimes painful days.
It sucks that you’ve had to endure puberty and a global pandemic amongst other things all at the same time. You should have been nurturing your relationships with friends and enjoying becoming a teen as teens do. Concerts, Canada’s Wonderland, coffee shop dates, beach hang outs, sleepovers and more.
I hope you know I love you dearly and always will (even on the days you drive me crazy… lol). I know you will push me as you continue to grow and I know I will likely push you. Know that is it always out of love and with your best interest at heart. I too was a teen, I too thought I knew best, I too had hardships, I too made mistakes, I too learned from them and I too am so grateful to have this life with YOU and the family I love. I know we are far from perfect but you are all perfect for me.
I know you will continue to demonstaright the values I have tried my best to instill in you. I want my kids to be kind, caring, confident, compassionate people who are respectful, responsible, grateful and love themselves & others. I wish to keep you safe and sound, healthy and strong, normal and alive well into your 90’s and beyond. I know I won’t always be around to help make that happen and my goal is to continue to raise you; my beautiful daughter who loves herself as much as I do her and will carry on this torch.
I am truly honored to have the privilege of raising you, Nicole. I‘m so proud of the young woman you have become and look forward to the next chapter of your life. I know this is just the end of your elementary school chapter and you have Hight School and Post Secondary to come, know that you can do anything. The best way to conquer fear is through action. “Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will”.
“My Beautiful Daughter, I want you to always know that in good times and bad times I will love you and no matter what you do or how you think or what you say, you can depend on my support, guidance, friendship and love every minute of every day. I love being your mother.” Susan Polis Schutz
I love you Nicole, to infinity and beyond! 😊
Congratulations on your Grade 8 Graduation and all the best as you enter your High School years. OMG!!!!
Love Mom – xoxo
